Light House
Northamptonshire
Two intense laser beams exiting the top of the National Lift Tower for 20 miles in both directions. Every thirty seconds the axis of the beams shifted from north/south to east/west. The beams travelled across the town and connected 40 mile diameter of Northamptonshire countryside. The building is known locally as the ‘Light House’ since Terry Wogan referred to it as that. The sides of the vertical building were bathed in a mixture of LED spotlights which were programmed to change on a five minute cycle.
Cultural Olympiad Project. Shortlisted for the National Lottery Arts Award.
